[NSRCA-discussion] The "Team" Selection

Can someone point me to what gives the AMA the exclusive rights to select
the teams for FAI world level competitions? I know the AMA is a national org
for this country but what would keep an independent org from fielding a
team? Does FAI give Devine rights to AMA? What if we had a national org for
just pattern fliers? Oh wait, we do. :-) Just wondering.
