[NSRCA-discussion] Ideas?

And I would loosen and re-torque the head-after checking for bearing boogers
attached to the dome and piston, check motor-mount tightness and prop
balance and make sure something isn't causing the fuel to foam like a loose
pipe mount. I agree with Jim-look at the fuel delivery system and if it's a
newer batch of fuel-that'll tell you something. One other thought-take the
pipe off and shake it vigorously and make sure it hasn't plugged itself
up-clean it with thinner and high pressure-you'll be surprised by the amount
of crap that comes out. Globs WILL plug things up in many pipes-and I think
the composite ones are more prone AND it causes intermittent problems... Do
this FIRST.

Ron
Since you changed fuel that seems to rule that out.Put his engine in another
plane if you can.
What it sounds like to me is that the bearings are bad in both engines and
the contamination is killing the plugs. Don't say impossible at this
point. The only other thing is the fuel which was common to both engines. Do
you remember all the trouble I had 2 years ago?My problem was in my
container the I put my fuel in. It was contaminated and when I filled the
pumping container, the engines would run fine until the contaminate mixed
with the new fuel and then trouble happened. I pump from the gallon fuel jug
that I buy the fuel in now and have no more fuel problems.
Good luck at the nats, I can't make it this year.
