Ron:
Agreeing on the direction of roll callout. I have found it very helpful on the humpty with options, if I elect to go cross box, which I very seldom do. As a matter of interest, (I'm sure you already know this, but anyway--) at the TOC when the callers were calling for their flyers, they seemed to always call out roll direction. I have always felt that, if flyers of that caliber wanted roll direction called, who am I to be embarrassed?
Doug Cronkite is on this list, and as one of the more sought-after callers, he can probably shed some light.

It was the humpty with 1/4 up and 3/4 roll down. I Got it figured again.
When we are calling for each other, John Fuqua and I ALWAYS tell each other aloud which way the 1/4 roll was; the 3/4 roll is always in the same direction. It seems obvious, but we've probably ALL rolled the wrong way on the 3/4 roll down.

Jim,
Your snaps looked fine, it was that 3/4 roll that you need to practice... <G>.
