I am using a Astro Van currently with 189,000 miles on it. I did get 20 mpg from Phoenix to Muncie last year with it. However, when time comes to replace it is is either going to be a Honda or Toyota minivan. You cannot beat them for comfort, MPG and resale value. I know of two people out west that use the Honda and they just love them for pattern use. Good Luck and let us know what you decide on. Time to replace another set of wheels here. I've been doing the Dodge mini-van thing for a long while now. It's the Devil that I know anyway. Windstars - forget it - been there, still doing it, glad the other half drives it. Any recommendations on a solid & reliable van? Thinking about the Chevy Uplander, trying hard to stay American, but it gets harder to justify every time I go out looking. I really want something that holds together.
