[NSRCA-discussion] Where made?

I would rather increase the weight to 15 or 16 pounds and use the D-A
50cc in a model similar to the Vision.
Pretty inexpensive and high performance as well...$450 for the model and
less than $600 for the engine.
I don't mean for IMAC or 3D flying..I mean Pattern.
This would solve a whole bunch of hardware problems.
Recently, I flew one of those engines and they really handle nice with
plenty of power.

It may be difficult to get anyone very excited about new engines with
E-power coming on strong...

I would be willing to spend more than what I paid for what I have now.
:-)
The stories I heard 10 years ago was that Airtronics was designed here
and then shipped overseas for production. Probably the closest thing to
a US radio right now.
I approached Dub Jett at the '95 Nats regarding a rear-exhaust 1.20
engine for pattern. He did not seem interested at all. But that was
then..... Maybe if he got enough suggestions/requests he would see the
light.

Hi Gang,
Okay, So how much would you be willing to spend for a domestically made
radio, both top of the line, and Sport?
Why isn't there a domestically made engine for Pattern ... there was
almost a K&B 150 (really a 140) and it was a sweet runner, until
Lockhart's two irreplaceable prototypes were utterly worn out.
Maybe RJL could be helped along.
I just had a talk with Bob Boucher at Astro-Flight, about the
requirements for a Pattern E-motor, and he was receptive.
Already, Steve Neu makes what look to be suitable motors, though I don't
have any track record on their Pattern useage.
act locally, right?
