I did'nt check the auw...don't have an accurate scale. I'm using the e-flite 380 outrunner, Futaba micro receiver, 3108 servos, e-flite 20amp esc. Nothing is as light as what you have used, so I'm sure it's more than 7-8oz with the 500mAhr pack.
   
  I had the cg back to 62mm and there was still alot of pull in KE.
   
  I guess I'll just keep moving the cg back until I get to close to neutral.

I would say this is a good C.G. for pattern stuff. For "3D" you might want to move it back some. I tend to prefer slightly nose heavy airplanes so YMMV. I think you might be right about the Kokam 340's. They're only good for about 6 Amps or less. Use the smallest (lightest) batteries you can get away with though. I think the T.P. 480's weigh the same as the Kokam 340's (thanks to Dave Lockhart for the tip!). How much does yours weigh RTF?

  I finally got the F3A flying today ( no snow, no wind, no rain). With a Kokam 3S 340 pack I am way short of power. I'll try a 3S 500 next. Also, the aft cg limit in the manual (60mm from LE) is still very nose heavy. What's the best cg position for pattern?
