Hey Everybody,
I've got another idea. How 'bout this;.............
You leave the districts the way they are now, or any other way you
decide to align them for purposes of VP reports, District News,
Contest reporting, K-Factor submissions e.t.c.
Next you standardize the contest point award system nationwide. Then
you allow anyone to fly anywhere they feel like it. If somebody is
on vacation to Hawaii and they enter a local contest there and they
beat a bunch of guys they bring the points earned home with them to
their local district. Mox Nix where you fly, at the end of the
season you take your 5 best contest results from all over the U.S.
and they count toward the District Championships in your" District
of Residence."
And NO, I don't think this would result in an individual flying most
of his contests out of District because he thinks the guys in the
other district are easier to beat. And NO, I don't think it would
deplete the ranks of "In District" contest attendance, but it sure
would make it easier for the guy who is going to skip going to an in
District contest because it's 600 miles across the other side of
the district........aaannd, it would increase attendance at some
"out of District " contests.
Whatcha think? No good?
Hmmmmm,
Still thinking here................
