Hi All,

I have overcome my transmitter problem by carrying out a re-calibration of
the radio by accessing the service menu.

I guess the elevator channel had drifted enough such that the maths
associated with translating stick movement to servo position resulted in the
channel reversal. I read somewhere that the transmitter uses signed integers
as part of its calculations.

This may explain why I have been having elevator trimming problems for some
time. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I need to investigate why my elevator channel has drifted by this amount.

I removed my elevator servo pot during my search and found a substance (some
type of blue glue) which ensured the pot housing did not move within the
gimbal. Anyone know what they may have used?

Regards,

Peter

Hi Karl,

Great to hear from you again. I wouldn't mind your weather at the moment. It
is so hot down here that you can't stay outside let alone fly.

I have checked the loom and all is OK in that department. It appears that
the pot may be rotating so I am investigating this theory.

Cheers,

Peter

  Peter,

Hope every body is well down under.
I had a similar problem where the servo would jump at the very end of
the stick travel. All it was that the loop in the wires from the pot was
to tight and at the end of the travel would put some strain on the pot
connections. I increased the amount of the slack in the wires and
that fixed the problem. Don't know whether that might be your problem
  as well or not.
