Ed,
I preferred fun flying over competition myself!
Phantom IV was an amazing plane. I could do things with it that I could never do with any other plane. It had a special airfoil that I designed for it which enabled it to fly inverted as well as upright. I could do the entire AMA pattern inverted as well as, or even better, than upright, (except for takeoff and landing!).
When I quit flying I got rid of everything. I gave away my last set of plans for the Phantom IV. I am hoping that someone will come up with a set, but at this time I have no idea where to even try to find them.
If I can find a set I will let you know.
Zel

Hi Zel,
I started flying R/C in 1965, so you guys were my heroes. Today, I still like to fly pattern for fun. I'm one from just a few in the world, who likes doing them all (Free Flight, R/C Pattern, IMAC, Sailplanes, Electrics). Living in UT for the past 20 yrs. Any chance to get a copy of Phantom IV plan ? ed

Hi Ed,
Yes, I did compete in the 1965 World's in Sweden.
I retired from flying RC shortly after coming back from Sweden. I didn't see much more to shoot for after making it to the World Championships!
I have posted a few pictures at: http://Zel.rcuniverse.com<http://zel.rcuniverse.com/>
Please give me a little information on yourself.
Zel

First of all, Hi Zel. This Jim Oddino, one of the old gang. Email me at joddino at socal.rr.com<mailto:joddino at socal.rr.com>.
Next, can anyone explain why I can't see what Zel is replying to? I never saw the post he is referring to.
