Yes, there is a lot that we can do as individuals to promote pattern. Making ourselves known at the local flying fields, at regular flyins, would be a good way. How can anyone look at most of the NSRCA members and be able to tell they are NSRCA? Apparently no hats or shirts or even decals are available at the moment.
The H9 Extra that I am flying came with IMAC stickers. Could the NSRCA convince manufacturers of pattern capable planes to include the NSRCA logo on their decal sheets??
Our local club recently went through the process of trying to get just hats with our logo. The traditional way required us to pay some up-front money for setup, then a per-hat charge with a minimum order. One of our club members that has a business, that does a lot of online orders, came up with a great solution. There is a company that all you have to do is submit the artwork, and they can produce shirts, hats, stickers, license plate frames, clocks, mouse pads, etc, with no setup fee or minimum order. All of a sudden, most of our club members were sporting the new items at the field and at flyins.
