I hate this rule interpretation...for a myriad of reasons.  It's SOOO much
easier to judge any "change" in radii.. Rather than try to match the whole
set.  If you fly all radius "A" then no downgrade...if you're flying a
square 8 and you go from "A" to "B" to "C" and back to "B", then there were
3 changes...3 downgrades.  If you fly 4 corners at "A" and the next four at
"B" ...only one change, one downgrade.  If you go ABABABAB...7 changes, 7
downgrades...

They're easy to see, easy to judge, easy to count.   Just my opinion...

Making the first corner the standard puts too much weight on the first
corner...  Pull/push it wrong and the whole maneuvers toast.

Oh well...it is what it is.
