You can't beat painting with a spray can. I used Rustoleum Pro. I used
Comp-Arf white to cover the seams where there was no color. Only painted a
strip about an inch wide. Then sanded with 2000 and polished with 3M. Both
paints were easy to polish so they looked like a clear coat. I did use
clear Rustoleum over the silver canopy.
The only problem I had was it took 2 to 3 days to really dry so the masking
tape didn't mess up the finish.
