  Scott Aviation sells a nice First Aid kit that we put on all our jets here. Aviall sells them and if there is interest, I can call and get pricing. I have an Aviall right across the street from our airport.

      I must admit, I too was guilty of an acccident caused from similar actions.
      I routinley held the plane with my right hand , over the top of the prop, and reached around with my left hand to unplug the nystart( oops glow-igniter).
      Once I allowed my elbow to droop causing my forearm to come into contact with the prop.

      The funny part is I heard the noise and thought "oh shoot I just got something into the prop." Then when I saw the blood I realized it was ME that I got into the prop. I was extremely fortunate the motor was idling and I had only a laceration that required 8 stitches. No permament damage but I have a 3 inch scar to show for it.

      I now use a remote glow attachment and move behind the plane to remove it.

      I hope Dennis heals quickly and has no permament damage.

      Add me to the list of people waiting on the updated list of first aid kit supplies, I will be makng a recomendation to our club at that time.

        Dennis did what you should never do, reach from the front of the plane, over the prop arc ( so he thought ) to check the switch on the side of the fuse.  Prop caught his arm a few inches below the elbow joint on the top of his arm.  Engine was running at nearly wide open throttle, he is very lucky the damage wasn't worse.  I see it all the time and the same folks are quick to point out all the scars they have from props.  The moment the engine is running you should get behind the prop, period.

          Hey, I would like too know. How did that guy at the Knoxville Contest. Get hit by that prop.
          Was it electric or gas.
