After negative comments I decided to give one of my older packs an inspection. IMO  the construction is adequate. I did find one pack where the shrink wrap had almost severed the lead, but this is easily avoided with a peice of tape. I have used the 4.8v 1200 NiMH as a flight pack since 2001 and  remove the battery after every flight session.
