Emory,
They are a 1/4 turn camlock fastener. Real handy for cowls & hatches. A little more difficult to install than a screw and blind nut but they will not come loose if installed correctly and allow quick access to your planes innards.

Hey Jim,
What do you use these little fasteners for? Just wondering if this is something I need.
Thanks,

Thanks to all that responded. I had looked at the Prather stuff before and didn't find the right size.
Clay, how did you find the right spring to go with the AJ3-40? I'm trying to figure out which snap ring and grommet go with that fastener. Aircraft Spruce doesn't seem to describe the accessories anywhere.

Jim,
I got mine at www.aircraftspruce.com. The stud part # is AJ3-40. The spring part # is S3-150. They are exactly what Gator was selling in their kits.

Jim have you looked at McMasters Carr, or Aircraft Spruce and Secialty (www.aircraftspruce.com), or Wicks Aircraft (www.wicksaircraft.com), might find something that would work.

Anyone have any Dzus fasteners like those supplied by Gator RC with the Giles 202? I'm assuming Gator is not in business for awhile but maybe that is a bad assumption. If anyone knows where I can get some of these let me know.
