Yes, at least for AMA sanctioned events. The
Competition Regulations state:

"4.1. Power. Models shall be powered by reciprocating
or rotary piston internal combustion
engine(s) or electric motor(s) of any size and
displacement."

Notice the plural (s) at the end of engine(s) or
electric motor(s).
