I went to an upholstery shop and bought a block of foam used for sofa
cushions and cut it with a band saw.
Then, I cut in from the side and cut out the outline of the transmitter
and a few pockets for assorted junk.

Jon, try a camera store. They usually carry foam blocks for use in
camera cases which is basically what our TX cases are.

I'm looking for the grey or black low density open cell foam, a solid
block, to use in the bottom half of a transmitter case. I've tried
McMaster Carr and some other suspects, but short of spending $45, I've
not found anything. Anyone have any leads to a low cost source?
Thanks!
