Foam for Transmitter Case

I'm looking for the grey or black low density open cell foam, a solid 
block, to use in the bottom half of a transmitter case.  I've tried 
McMaster Carr and some other suspects, but short of spending $45, I've 
not found anything.  Anyone have any leads to a low cost source?
