Instead, you will be buying:

Replacement speed controllers for the ones that burn up
Replacement battery packs after 60 or so flights
Special battery chargers and watt meters
Heavy gauge wire and zero loss connectors/switches
Expensive carbon fiber or Nomex mounts for everything to make weight
Extra fire extinquishers
IR temp guns to measure battery temperature
Servos (yeah, the pots still wear down, just not as quickly)
Emergency repair supplies for the surprise repair you never thought you would need when the pack or speed controller puffs becuase the outside air temperature snuck into the high 90's
Exercise hand grips to keep your wrist strength up after switching to electric

Nothing is perfect, eh? This will take a while to be practical, but thanks to those who are making the effort to get us there. It will be nice when the technology really arrives to make this an affordable option.

I can wake this bunch up.

Just think, I will never buy the following again !!!
          IC engines, bearings or parts
          Special headers, pipes,mufflers
          Fuel, fuel tubing, tanks
          Expensive engine mounts
          Hand / Airplane cleaner
          Elec starters, chargers
          Glow plugs
          Glow starters, chargers
Never buy a servo for an existing airplne
Never have to make repairs because the engine
quit ten foot up on takeoff - or died short
on final -or- shook the FW loose
Never have bobos due to hand cranking a prop

          More ? Nat
