Someone pointed out that I referred to "OS 1.60" failures in my original post.
It should have said "failures".
The fact that the multiple failures, across brands, with different brands of motors, was what prompted my note.
My apologies for any misunderstanding.
Since the owner is on the list, I'll shut up now.

Subject: Important Event Report!!!
Today, while running an OS 1.60 with Master Airscrew three-blade 16 x 10 on the ground, ONE blade departed cleanly at the hub at near full power. The blade travelled approx. 45 yards, directly in line with the prop disc-plane of the engine. There were no injuries.
This particular MA nylon prop had approximately 75 flights with the OS 1.60 on Aeroslave pipe setup. Ground peak rpm was in the 85-8600 rpm range.
Based on other reports of three blade failures on the OS 1.60, I won't encourage their use any longer. Two brands, several different owners, different setups. Common elements - OS 1.60 on pipe and three blade setup.
This is just an FYI to those interested.
