Has anyone thought about making a small DVD that could be sent out to
those who seem to show some interest? The contents of this DVD could
include education on the equipment involved in flying pattern. Explain
the differences in the planes that are capable of flying Sportsman,
Intermediate but struggle in advanced and masters and could not complete
the FAI sequence. Motors, servos, plane, mounts, wing tubes, scratch
built plans selection for planes?

HOLY CRAP.. here is a crazy idea I just had. Have we thought about
designing a simple plane around Sportsman and intermediate and offering
it through the NSRCA as a way to bring new people and offer it at a
slight profit and I mean slight profit? This plane could be affordable
and still perform.

In this dvd you could include the explanations of the maneuvers and
aresti powerpoint presentations.

These could be tracked and the District VPs contacted with info on how
to contact them and potentially have put them in contact with someone
willing to spend a little time an "nurse" them into our community,

Pattern is a wonderful sport that is not understood but admired. Just
yesterday I was flying and an older gentleman came up to me and
commented on how smooth everything was when I flew. I never would have
been at this level if not for things learned about how to present and
fly maneuvers properly.

I would be willing to work on the distribution and tracking of the DVD's
but would definitely need help on compiling the info and creating a
semi-professional production. Getting in contact with local pilots and
keeping line of communication open.

Does the NSRCA have a list of beginning tools to help those who want to
start in pattern??

Should we advertise on RCU under the pattern forum or Sponsor a link at
the top of the threads to point interested people in our direction????

Do we offer a way for those looking for info to contact key people in
their district?

Lots of ways for us to funnel newbies to those who are going to offer
good advice, help and guidance but we aren't using them to our advantage
yet.

Here's a link to a brand new post on RCU
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3544998/tm.htm It's a guy interested
in Pattern who has an OS .61 FX and he wants to know what to stick
behind it. I don't know the answer - anyone else want to help him?
He's in Herndon, VA. No one has answered him yet, but the post is only
a few hours old. Bludgeon him with help!
