You need to tweak your priorities just slightly.
A flying field, then a workshop WITH a house. :-)
I know a guy that had his wife look for a new house, with the stipulation that it MUST have a workshop. She found a house that she liked. He came to look, walked right past the house to the workshop. A really big three car detached garage, with an equally large workshop area in another room. He said "We'll take it" without even walking in the house!!!

I'm in DC and we are fortunate to have a number of fine fields to choose from. Give me a little more info about where you'll be and I'll be able to give you some better feedback.
