Yes and you need to figure out the jump in your electric bill.  Getting silly isn't it?  It's a 2:1 comparison, assuming the batteries last, which apparently, they don't.

  Ed, you need to add the starter, glo starter, a few glo plugs, paper towells, wear and tear and special tools like bearing pullers !!!

  Mike, I crashed on the 3rd flight, loss of controll. Could not determine if the interference was internal or external. As to batteries, IOHP they will last much longer than everyone thinks with proper care and cooling.         Nat

              For my next pattern plane project I'm wondering what will be the best, glow engine vs. electric engine?

              In my previous planes I used YS 140DZ, Electric will be new for me. I have no experience with the new electric pattern technology, engine, batteries, and prop's at all.
