Adobe Troubles

Downloaded 7.0, and the 7.01 update.  Have Internet set to "open in 
browser", Active X is "enabled".  When trying to download .pdf  (or open a 
local .pdf in IE), NOTHING happens, except the "Done" in left corner of 
blank IE screen.

Anyone with any hints?
