You need a video grabbing software (I use "FRAPS", available as free
downloadable, just search a bit), and a SERIOUS, butt-whooping PC that
is
MEGA-GIGA triple-throw-down-hyper powerful fast with HUGE memory to not
record and bog frame rate to the teens.
My AFPD runs nominal 60-80fps (have an Asus FX5200, 64mb video), until I
hit
"record" in Fraps....then blooey- frame stutter, jerkiness, etc. But it
does work....actually looks almost like a slow mode.
Turn on "Aircraft Trace". Turn on View 2 - Plane. It works and is fun.
Clarifies lots of subtleties you might otherwise miss.
FRAPS records HUGE .avi files, which then have to be tweaked into
.mpg.... I
use Windows Video Manager for that.
