I'll agree with Eric here. The one I got is the Pacific Aeromodels starter with the 3000 mah nimh packs. (Same as Winner R/C) This is about the best starter I've ever used. I also like it because it's pretty small, and has that huge soft cone.
Anyway, that's the one I'd recommend. It sure blows a Kavan away.
FWIW I didn't particularly like the CH starter either.

I have one, and well it is good to have as a back up to your number one starter. It will crank up to say a 140 size but the gear drive is loud and not very smooth. It has 2 motors gear driven into one output drive. And for engine's like the O. S. 140RX which needs a bit of RPM to spin up the pump it lacks in the RPM needed.
Looked good when I saw it but would not get if again for my number one starter.
Just got the compact starter from Winner R/C. It comes with 2 7.2 batteries in the handle. You have the choice of either 1500ma or 3000ma. If you were to get one I would get the one with the 3000 ma batteries versus the 1500 ma batteries. Plenty of torque and spins very fast and smooth. Also comes with a larger cone that gives a better fit on your spinner.
