Pattern Box Rules (discussion)

Right on, Dave, but why not go one step farther? Let's take the lead of
the psyc community and not have any judging at all? That way everyone
will FEEL GOOD about themselves, and we will ALL go home winners!!!

I have not won a contest in mearly 10 years. I have managed to win a
round or two, and that gives me eternal hope that some day I may get out
of advance, but I love the challenge, and more important, I love the
company I keep on the contest trail. A bunch of very good guys and gals
who are fun to be around. I attended one contest in each of the past 2
years where I choose not to fly due to field or weather conditions. I
talked to the other fliers. Did some judging, Did some calling, Ate some
good food. And had a great time.

I agree that we should be lenient with the Sportsman class, but let's
keep the basics as they are, a little challenging. At 60, I know I'll
never get anywhere near the top, but I enjoy watching the best ply their
trade, and the youngsters come up thru the ranks!
