cataracts and flying pattern

I have Steven and it was great. However later on I had a detached retina in
the right eye, (twice) and now I am for all practical purposes a one eyed
pilot.

I would have the cataract surgery in a New York second if I were in your
place. My vision in my left eye is as good at distance as it was when I was
twenty! (I'm seventy-three now.)

Best,
Ed Hartley
