Marguerite,
Just make sure you connect the aileron servos... Sorry - I still can't live
that one down.

Hi
I had to respond to this email comment posted on our list. I recently had a
conversation just about this topic. When I first started flying pattern there
were several pilots from our club flying together.
At one event my engine flamed out and we could not fix it. A group of us were
very close in the numbers for a win.
One of the pilots gave me his plane to fly. I certainly did not want to but
I did. Turned out I did win with his plane. He was laughing and complaining
about that for years.
He was hobby shop owner and just didn't get out to practice like he wanted to.
I would not borrow a plane in a contest today! I did not know then how many
things can go wrong when you just do not expect it.
IF I do fly another pilots plane on the field I know I would be responsible
if something happened to it. I have flown other planes but not at a contest.
There is just to much going on and keeping a check on everything is just to
much stress.
