I'd like to thank Russ for his work in securing donations, trophies, and his hospitality in helping to make the contest a success. I'm especially proud of the women in our lives who support us and pitched a hand in making this thing run (and they didn't even get to have fun flying:) Stephanie -excellent job of working to see that the scoring and miscellanious contest items were covered.... Janey - for helping with the scoring and other misc items too, thank you. Tonya - food, scoring, scribing and being there for support. Lillie (mom) for all the help with the cooking/prep chores and just being there. Sandie Buchner - scoring and miscellaneous, thank you.... Also thanks for the extra people who showed up from the local clubs: Skyblazers, Tulsa Glue Dobbers and of course the wonderful ATF club members for all their efforts. More names I know: Jeff Dye, Jim Ballew, Anthony Pickens, Vernon White (dad), Steph & Ken's son for running the scores and scribing. Bob Hesskamp - Numerous field items...clips, striping & poles, trash, coffee...just a great job friend. Ken - Scoring software, scoring and running around making sure that the contest items were taken care of in support of our CD.

I know there are names that I've missed and I'm really sorry....everyone who was there played a part in making it a success.

Thank you:)
Chris

(I can't say enough good about the women who helped and that I see help in contests that I've attended...what would we do without the Ruth Dunnaway's, the Vicky Rock's, the Amy Pannell's, the Cathy Reuther's, the Maureen Dunphy's.... etc...etc.)

Hey guys,

I want to thank everyone who was able to attend our contest here in Tulsa for coming, I believe that I can speak for our group and say that we have a whole new appreciation for those of you who have taken on the task of hosting a pattern contest. You can sure count on our support and help at your contest this season.

Bob,
I will also bring you a engine if you need it, I was really looking forward to seeing you go at it with the FAI boys this past weekend for a change. Besides, my tail is still a little sore from you kicking it so much last year.

Lance ,
It was alot of fun getting to meet and fly with you and Francesco this past weekend, I appreciate you making the effort to come and support a new contest. I will make sure to stay in touch when planning next years event so that hopefully more of the D6 guys can attend if they want.

Thanks again to everyone,

Russell Honea

I'll be there next year if it doesn't conflict with Jetero or one of the other traditional contests here in Texas. I know the OK guy's priority is to schedule around the D5 contests since KS is so much closer than mid or south Texas, but if it's possible to avoid conflicts next year I'll be there!

Glad to hear it was a successful contest! I think it's great we now have an OK contest!

Just returned from the Tulsa contest, held at the American Turf Flyers Field in Broken Arrow. Wind and fun in the Oklahoma sun. I think everyone will agree that it was a great time and the club members and the AFT pattern group should be proud of a job well done. It is really nice to see Tulsa back on the circuit of contest and I can see this contest growing every year. Put it on your schedule for next year, you will enjoy it.

Bob, I am sure you will have an engine by then and if not I will have one or two you can use......V Bigger G....:)

Dan
