Depends on which field I go to. One is about 50 minutes one way, the other
is about 25 minutes one way. The 50 minute one is nicer and often gives me
an opportunity to fly with one or more other pattern guys. The closer one
rarely has any pattern fliers (Gray, you can change that!). Also, at the
one that is 50 minutes away I don't have to worry about flying out too far
and bothering the neighbors.

I'm curious. How far is it to the practice field for most of the troops and
how long
does it take to get there?
In my case, to practice for an hour or two I need to drive 45 miles each
way. Total time driving ranges from 90 minutes to 2 hours.
I find it demotivating.
