Maybe this is OLD news, but I sure missed it.....evidently, the AMA CB has
acted on the Landing and Takeoff issues.... here's what's there....

<<RC Aerobatics Rules Interpretation
The RC Aerobatics Contest Board recently interpreted the two rules indicated
below. These interpretations have been ratified and are in effect at this
time. The interpretations are shown in blue.
In the maneuver description section:
Takeoff Sequence: The model is placed on the runway, takes off from within
the landing zone, then turns 90 degrees toward the line defined by the
upwind and downwind marker poles. When approximately over this line the
model turns either 90 degrees or 270 degrees for a downwind trim pass (pilot
may also execute a simple 180-degree turn to a downwind heading). When
approximately even with the downwind marker the model initiates a 180-degree
turn, reversal or other turn-around maneuver of pilot's choice.
Landing Sequence: Execute a 180-degree turn (or 2 90-degree turns) to a
downwind heading or optional 360-degree turn (or 2 180-degree turns) if
flight is completed on a downwind maneuver. Fly a downwind leg, and then
turn 180 degrees into the wind for a final approach to the runway touching
down in the landing zone..
14.6. Currently states: In all classes, the contestant or helper must
call out the initiation and completion of the takeoff and landing maneuvers
and all maneuvering area entrances and exits.
14.6 is to be interpreted as: In all classes, the contestant or helper must
call out the initiation of the takeoff sequence and all maneuvering area
entrances and exits. >>

Anyone else that didn't know this happened?
