As to the weight saving, I think it's about 2 oz.  Someone will 
probably have a better number.  I got a carbon wing tube when I was 
fighting the 11 lb limit with the 11 lb, 3 1/2 oz Advantage I flew for 
three years.  I managed to save four oz by using an APC spinner with 
lightened backplate, a smaller battery pack and a smaller fuel tank and 
didn't need to use the carbon wing tube.
