Engine Sound

AMEN!
On the other hand, one time, as I was giving my typical "how to get quiet" talk at a club about an hour from home, I was heckled bya club mamber who thinks that quiet airplanes are a safety hazard: you can't hear when the engine quits! He was the club president, too. It was the worst crowd I'd ever had, and I've given that same talk about 30+ times now.
later,
Doug

Or how about not!

I don't follow why someone would not want to be quiet in the air.

This one falls in the "Now I've heard everything..." category.

It was inevitable, I suppose, for someone to offer an airborne megaphone device with programmability, such that an electric powered models could SOUND like an ENGINE powered model. I would bet that the next step in programmability would be to offer a JET or HELI sound too.

Hey, how about using the real noise maker??

PS- actually a similar concept could possibly be developed to cancel some engine generated noise. Dean, what do you think??
