The tape is 3M Scotch 70 Self-Fusing Silicone. Rubber  electrical Tape Class 
H.
I use it to wrap the muffler where I strap it down, It  keeps the plastic tie 
wrap and mount from melting. been using it for years.  Rated to 356F.
