G3 Simulator

Yeah - I got mine for Xmas after I moaned to my wife - my older G2 used the
joystick port, and the new computer had no port - and couldn't be made to
accept one from an add-on sound card. So now I poke at G3 to re-input all
the custom work I had into G2. They also did away with the time parameter
(you could slow down the speed of the simulator, to practice those rolling
circles s-l-o-w-l-y, and work up to full speed. Not available any more....)
New physics and graphics are nice, but not $200 nice. If I'd known, I may
have looked at other simulators. Now all I can do is hope that they will
eventually replace some of the lost functions as part of their update/patch
process.

Disgusting!
I have the full original package (G1?) that will eventually go to EBAY when
I get to it. If any one is interested in a trade for ?, or an outright
purchase, make me an offer. I am not real proud of it, I was very
disappointed.

Sorry to disappoint guys - but G3 doesn't import custom G2 aircraft. At
least not yet - some gossip that that might be one of the coming updates to
what was something all too quickly rushed out the door for Xmas.
If you've got G2, keep it. No need to envy anyone with G3. You've got the
better program of the two, with more functions.

I'm thinking Bob Kane or some other folks have built a 2M plane for the
G2...It should work with the G3 as well.
Also some one has the Tracer mods that I have set up, but I don't have the
original e-mail any more...If some one don't come up with something, I'll
try to find a hard copy of the e-mail and send you a scanned copy...

Bill,
My advice would be to start with the extra 330s (looks like a nice widebody
to me) and just go through every measurement on the plane. If you have a 2M
pattern plane, just insert all the dimensions into the 330s. It may not be
perfect when your done, but it will be close....of course you will likely
need to change the powerplant as well....
If G3 allows import of modified G2 plane files, I can email you a couple of
pattern files...
