I flew in Novice for the first time in 1998 at 45 years old. I never gave a 
thought about the turnaround portion of the pattern, it was the three rolls 
that were absolute killers. It was incredibly easy for a newcomer to get 
disoriented. The schedule gave you a couple of times to exit the box and get 
your self straight.
