Hi Dan

I have a Exceleron 90 w/ 120 TT the plane has plenty power to do anything u want and
yet it will slow down and fly verywell to. Still have some triming to do but sofar i love
the way it handles. Just my two cents on the on the plane and the 120 fits very nice.

Hi Dan,
If those engines are your only choices, than the way to go will be the 91FX, but from what I have read, plan on putting a tuned pipe on it. There is a large thread on it on RCU, I believe in the Pattern forum.
Myself, I'm going to be putting a ST2300 in mine. This install is covered very well in the thread I mentioned.

This plane is supposed to present itself very well in the air. I'm sure it can out fly me, just as my Quest does. I'll be flying the Excelleron this year with my Quest as a back up, at least that's the plan.

Good luck,

Ken

Correction the second engine is an OS FS91 Surpass II w/pump. My first post said that it was an OS FS91 FS w/ pump.

I am going to be putting together an Exceleron 90. I have 2 different engine options. First is an OS FX91, second is an OS FS91 Surpass w/pump. Both are NIB. I have flow previous planes with a different 91FRX. I am good with engines so I am not worried about any finicky engine issues with either one. I have 2 two meter planes right now. This plane is one that I want to be able to get home from work, grab it and go. The 2 meter planes take a little bit more preparation to get them going quickly. I want the plane to fly well with a good power curve. I know that the 91FX will want to be flown a little bit faster, but how much I don't know. Also would the FS91 II Surpass be enough to fly the plane well. I will most likely be flying the intermediate pattern next year, so it doesn't have to be oh my God outrageous performance. But I don't want tit to be a dog either.

If there is anybody with any time on this plane that could shed some light on the situation it would be greatly appreciated.
