So, given the time the rules proposal cycle takes, just how WOULD we come up with a Masters sequence that, a year or two from now, would prepare someone for the FAI sequence that will be in existence 3, 4 or 5 years from now?
 
When it comes right down to it, the best way to prepare for competing in FAI is to fly/practice the CURRENT FAI sequence, IMHO. Why should we try to anticipate/duplicate that in the AMA classes?
 
I still say the most important thing BY FAR is to get participation in the AMA classes to begin with. If that means that we completely ignore the FAI sequence when coming up with a pattern for Sportsman class, so be it.
 
I think it is great that we are having this discussion!
