Weight Issues

Another option is to simply leave the weight as stated in today's rules. I
switched to electric several years ago after over 50 years of using glow
engines and while I have to work a bit to ensure a 2 meter model comes in at or
under 5 kg, I guarantee that both my electric Partner and my electric Symphony
will be legal when ready to fly. Manufacturers of ARFs, ARCs and full kits
who can't produce competitive airframes which can be built IAW the rules
won't sell their products to the pattern community....simple as that. Perhaps
rather than chasing issues of weight, size and/or power, we should wait and see
what the FAI will propose and then decide how to adjust the AMA rule book.
Just my $.02.
