      That's what's great about pattern guys....no secrets.  Show all of the possible ways to do it, then pick what you like.  I'm sure by the end of the thread there will be a few more ways posted that might make us stop and consider changing our ways of doing things!

some photos of my alternative method.  We pattern dudes are an inventive
bunch.... actually my remote clip has been passed down from someone else.
