Carbon builds in carbon pipes too. I had a Bolly do
this. I rinsed and cleaned, finally drilled a 1/4 hole
through the rear baffle. Fixed and barely changed the
noise level.

Bolly actually advises to clean the pipe periodically
in their instruction. Maybe if I had done that I could
have kept up with it and not degraded performance.
