As more and more mail servers are getting tougher and tougher on their war
against spam it becomes more and more important for us to simplify the email
to our list.
I strongly suggest that you no longer send any email to discussion at nsrca.org
with ANY HTML content.
The easiest way is that once you have your email generated, go to FORMAT at
the top of the page and click PLAIN TEXT.
This should reduce the [SPAM] label often seen these days, and allow mail to
flow to everyone faster.
In case you wonder what this is about, here is a small clip out of the
headers of a recent email posted to the list, showing that the score of Spam
Assassin is high enough to be labeled as spam.
[SPAM] Re: [SPAM] RE: [SPAM] Re: Pipe Life Questions
X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=8.2 required=3.8 tests=HTML_50_60,
3.8 is the cutoff score!
Then the same email, changed to straight text dropped the score to just a
fraction of that, well below the cut off score, and it flowed thru fine, ..
NOT labeled as spam.
Re: Pipe Life Questions
X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.9 required=3.8 tests=FROM_ENDS_IN_NUMS
autolearn=no
Thanks for your assistance in this matter.
