LOL!! Well, a couple more days with weather like today, and I'll just have to dodge the mud.

Almost time for some practice.

Fly one for me!

I like ya Ken....but not THAT much!!!!!

Besides, it's better than new now! I can't wait to go fly it tomorrow. I was just starting to get some things really straight, then BOOM disaster. Well, ok inconvenience, almost disaster.

    Mike,
I think you should send that plane to me, you know, give somebody else a chance at that kind of luck. YOU will never get that lucky again.

Yup excellent day here in N Ga, but....

I must be the luckiest guy alive. After 4 flights my engine became erratic. After landing I noticed a black streak of soot trailing from the chin cowl. Upon removing the chin cowl, I discovered that the entire mount would rotate completely in either direction, all the way till it hit cowl.

Took it apart, discovered that 3 of 4 bolts came loose that hold the mount to the firewall, and the last one was holding by 3 threads. It did a lot of damage, but after an all afternoon shift, it's ready to go again in the morning.

So, ask me if I feel lucky =)

-Mike (with what is now a free plane!)

Nice day here in Waxahachie Texas. 5-10mph out of the south 58 degrees.
3 flights, improved trim and tried an 18x8W on the OS and seem to work well. Although it was a little peaky on WOT and didnt want to come down on the idle well. Do I need to lengthen the pipe some?
