No model flying at all tomorrow in Jax. Our field is quarrantined due to the
Stuper Bowl. Within 30 miles of the stadium, everything is pretty much down.
Tried to go downtown for the NFL Experience tonight but things were so bad,
I turned around and came home. Seems there are a million people there boozing
it up--should have been a blast.

I was more concerned with it launching through this thin cowl into the cow
pasture =) I can hold my own a little, but MAN talk about a balance issue!
Tore up the inside of the cowl, the nose ring mount tabs, the throttle
linkage, cracked the chin cowl in several places, and shook every screw in the
plane loose.
BUT.....it's still on my wall charging for tomorrow =) And yes Cameron, I
tightened the bolts before you even say it =P

Heck Mike, it shouldn't have been a problem. Just a bunch of down and you
would have been fine

Yup excellent day here in N Ga, but....
I must be the luckiest guy alive. After 4 flights my engine became erratic.
After landing I noticed a black streak of soot trailing from the chin cowl.
Upon removing the chin cowl, I discovered that the entire mount would rotate
completely in either direction, all the way till it hit cowl.
Took it apart, discovered that 3 of 4 bolts came loose that hold the mount
to the firewall, and the last one was holding by 3 threads. It did a lot of
damage, but after an all afternoon shift, it's ready to go again in the morning.
So, ask me if I feel lucky =)
