There has been discussion on pros/cons of nylon tube vs teflon tubes with the .070" CF pushrod. Here is my experience with it.
On my first attempt at the .070" CF pushrod system, I bought the CST kit with the teflon sleeve/tubes. After fooling with them for a while, I pitched them in the trash can and went to the Dubro nylon antenna tubes. I found that it was mpossible...at least for me...to get them attached to a spar/ladder without binding. So, my vote is: I ABSOLUTELY won't use the flakey/flimsey teflon.
In the process, I developed my own method of installation, which uses only one piece of 1/4" balsa for support (not a ladder) with a cross piece near the front end, back end and one in the middle. I found the key to the thing was to get it installed and working smoothly before gluing it in.
For my next airplane, I'm going to use CF tubes with the CF pushrod and NO balsa ladder or support. I understand the weight is about the same. Of course, you have to install it in a straight line to get a smooth operating pushrod.
Evreryone has their own way....smile.
