I run the OS91fx under 8000. The larger props are more efficient and the noise level is comparatively very nice. I don't think I am giving up much in the way of thrust horsepower. Nat

Subject: [SPAM] Re: Prop choices for OS 91FX

I am using a 14x8 on a Hano type pipe (7.5# Desire) which gives 10,500 RPM. I had problems setting a longer pipe for for a 14x10, which was the target prop at 9,000 RPM. I am going to try a Perry pump set up, with the 13.8X10 4B. I need to change out the rear bearing soon (250+ flts).
A while back, I read somewhere that the 91FX likes to rev around 10,000, given it,s over square stroke and porting configuration.

I liked the APC 14-8 on a 7 3/4 pound MK Skystar using the stock OS Muffler. This Spring I am going to experiment with a
tuned pipe/Mueller header and try various props. I did see Scott Anderson's 4 blade setup on his Viper91 and it did pull
very well.
