I recently stumbled across Dean's very first Pattern column in FM. The local shop has a couple of boxes of old mags and I picked up several from '82-83.

    Hi all,

I might add that Michael from FM seems to be more than keen to support (our) pattern interests. I must admit he has approached me several times about wether I would be willing to do a building and plans feature for my Merlin ( past version and now the new version). Sofar the ball has always been in my court and I guess I am a little daunted by the prospect of such an undertaking. REf: the posts from a few weeks ago regarding plans etc.

It comes back to the same old thing, if the stuff is out there and made available...I think he would print it and support pattern overall.

    regards

    Tom

      Hi Dwayne,
It seems that magazines are generally hard to find in LHS es these days. That's especially true of FM, 'cause it isn't distributed by the same outfit as RCM or MAN.
I appreciate the interest ... thanks.
The problem is that I only have a few recent columns, since re-installing the home pooter, and once I ship them off to FM, they own the publishing rights for perpetuity.
I think that's the word used in the paperwork.
Can I urge you to subscribe?

Dean, here in the "Old West" (Amarillo) it seems that Flying Models is a magazine that is hard to find. If you could create a CD of whatever columns you have I would be glad to pay you. Please let me know.

          Hi Dwayne,
Not really, except for the the very recent ones. What are you looking for? Maybe I can scare up a reprint.

Dean, do you have files available of your columns that you write for Flying Models? Dwayne
