[NSRCA-discussion] Spam

Hi Ed.....

I see now.....

I see that several of the email addresses including mine are in the
clear from other lists, not NSRCA. My main intent was to show that the
NSRCA was not causing or contributing to the mining of email addresses
for spam use. Other lists such as gun a forum, radio forums etc seem to
be the problem.
This is shown by Googling the spammed email address.
I made a spam rule so now the spam gets flushed. The rule looks in the
address book and tries to look up the senders name.....of course it is
not there so the rule deletes the email.

Hi Dave,

Actually all the email addresses on the NSRCA site are embedded in Java.

I.E.

<script language="JavaScript">
var showtext = "Eric Henderson";
var mailpart1 = "pattern4u";
var mailpart2 = "comcast.net";
document.write("<a href=" + "mail" + "to:" + mailpart1 +
"@" + mailpart2 + ">" + showtext + "</a>")
</script>

Look at the source code and you will see this.

Best,
Ed Hartley
