Here is a picture of it installed on the stinger of the pipe. Works when
being used

with 2 and 4 stroke engines.

As you and others know an exhaust trail should not be used by a judge for
awarding any type of a downgrade.  Nevertheless electric powered aircraft
will be more prevalent this year. With the absence of an exhaust trail on
electrics I believe the trail left by glo power may present a visual queue
by which some judges may utilize when awarding downgrades.  Why give a judge
not following proper judging criteria an opportunity to downgrade if it can
be avoided.  

 

We have come a long way in educating judges.  This needs to continue and
include shifts in technology and the effects these shifts may have to the
sport of pattern.

I'm interested also.  Sure have gotten tired of my exhaust trail showing the

Anyone using a diffuser, if that is the correct term to use, at the end of a
muffled pipe to minimize/cloak the visual effect of the exhaust trail?  I am
interested in knowing what you used and if it is commercially available or
homemade and how effective it worked.
